It seems like Valve is starting with the public Dota2 beta. Here is the mail they sent to me:

So what does this mean? First of all this means we are expecting a Dota2 public beta very very soon. Secondly you should sell your Dota2 Keys (in case you own some) as fast as you can because the prices will drop very fast.

Beer review #5 isleña (beer from Ibiza)

Aight guys prepare for the next bottle...

I  didn't really enjoy drinking this cloudy golden liquid right out of the bottle. Surprisingly the taste was worse than the bottle would suggest. This beer has a really sparing taste of malt and (thats what I do not like about it) citrus. It smells similar to how it tastes: light malt flavour with a dash of citrus. The ending is very sweet. All in all you can say that it tastes more like an alcopop than real beer which reminds me of "Crabbies Original Alcoholic Ginger Beer".

Overall this was not a good bear but if you collect fancy beer bottles you should probably buy it.

My rating: C

If you consider buying it you'd pay 2€ for one bottle which is way to expensive for the ordinary taste.

/ additional information: This beer is made in Cologne, not Ibiza. 

Beer review #4 Maredsous

The comments told me to start with the white bottle so i did exactly the oposite and started with the most dark looking one; Maredsous is a very strong beer brewed by the  Duvel Moortgat Bewery in Belgium. I had the "Maredsous brune" version which is a top-fermented very strong one with 8% alchohol.

As I already mentioned this beer is stronger than the beer im drinking usually. The strong taste of alcohol is masking almost every taste except bitterness. The finish is slightly sweet and you can even taste dryed fruits. For me this beer is to much based on the taste of alchohol and bitterness.All in all: Just to much.To bitter to strong to much alcohol.

Overall I rate it with : D+

Beer of the week #3 [FAIL]

A friend of mine recently traveled through Scotland and brought me this nice bottle of "Crabbies Original Alcoholic Ginger Beer". I had never tried ginger beer beforebut I think its a pretty nice idea to make beer with a slightly taste of ginger.

Even though this taste of ginger is anything but slightly I enjoyed drinking it. At first you got the taste of malts and hops which accumulates in a strong taste of ginger. This "beer" is more of an alcopop than of real beer since its pretty sweet and the taste of ginger is a bit to strong for my taste. I would not buy this beer but due to the fact that it was a present I gave it a try. My recommendation:A good beer for the summer but this is just the wrong season for this beer.


Anyway, if you wanna buy it you should check this link. Its about 2,30€ (3,20 USD) for one bottle which is pretty expensive.

Movietip #3

Because I thought it would be nice to vote some recent movie i decided to pick ... Midnight in Paris by Woody Allen.

Genre: (Romantic) Comedy
Time: 21st century
Where?: France,Paris
What?: This movie is basically about a screenwriter (played by Owen Wilson) and a group around him who is going to Paris. The group consists of his fiancé Inez and her parents. One night, screenwriter Gil is going out and finds himself lost somewhere in Paris ...

For those of you who like to know the whole plot I have prepared a link at the end of this post. But im not going to spoiler everything :)

Rating : C++

If you like Woody Allen' movies in general the film will be nothing really new expept the good story. The thing I enjoyed most was the fact that the film is set in different time periods. This allows you to see the changes in architecturre Paris ran through. The C rating is just because i hate Owen Wilson.

Beer of the week #2

Because I liked Liberty Ale that much I decided to stay with anchor brewing a lil bit longer:
Number two is going to be Anchor Porter

Even though I dont like porters this one convinced me. The guys from ratebeer.com liked it aswell and rated this beer with 99 of 100 scorepoints. Taste-wise you can say that this beer tastes very fruity and you can even taste raisins. As usual for Anchor Brewing this beer is only avalible in the 0,33l bottle.

As always the problem with this (at least in Germany) is the price.  3,50€ is way to much for a beer but the money is totally worth it.

For those of you who had no lucky/time/whatever to participate in the first raffle for the Dota2 key here is another chance!

Dotalicious-gaming.com has a new 1o1 tournament where the winner gets a Dota2 key. The rules are pretty simple:

- You can ONLY sign up for 1 day, and when you've signed up, you cannot unsign. Games cannot be postponed or re-scheduled

Movietip #2

My second movie tip is going to be a movie by Fernando Meirelles... CITY OF GOD

Genre: Drama
Time:  21 century
Where?: Rio de Janeiro
What?: This is the story of two boys groing up in the "City of God" a slum of Rio. One of the boys is becoming a photographer while the other one is going to be a drugdeealer.


Rating:B+

If you like drama this is the movie for you. This  movie deals with the topic of poverty  and is absolutely worth watching. Most of the actors in this movie were amateurs and did very very well.

Who needs a Dota2 key?

THE TOURNAMENT IS DONE!

I already told you about www.dotalicious-gaming.com but now you gotta prepare for something special:
Dotalicious is is raffling off 3 Dota2 keys!!! One key is already gone but there are two to go.

Beer of the week

This weeks beer is going to be............. Liberty Ale!

Because Germans are generally sceptical about beer that is not from Germany (BECAUSE WE "INVENTED" BEER!!!!) I was a bit sceptical too. But I was wrong. Liberty Ale has a pretty nice taste. The aroma is hops and toasted malts with a dash of lemon. This is a solid beer that I would love to try again in the future; BUT its very expensive because it is imported from the US (payed 3€ for one 0,33L bottle). Have a nice day guys! And dont drink beer before 4pm (German saying)!

Advanced Dota #1 Customkeys and Tools

If you wanna be succesfull in DotA you will need customized Hotkeys. This post will feature Dr.Jone's Customkeygenerator and the Tool Lescos Toolkit.


I want to show you the DOTA Customkey Generator by Dr. Jones- the easiest way to bind the hotkeys you need to play DotA at an acceptable level.

As you can see here, this tool provides almost everything you need. You can choose the hotkeys for every ability, every hero, every creep and every item. There are also some premade patterns you can use. If you finished your bindings you will need to click on "generate". Save the .txt file and copy it into your warcraft3 folder (make sure you have a backup of the old customkey.txt). Now you can start playin ... oh wait ! What about inventory hotkeys? This tool also provides inventory hotkeys but i prefer another tool for this:



Lescos Toolkit: Lescos toolkit is a pretty simple tool helping you to bind the inventory hotkeys of your hero in DotA.

Here you can see the self-explanatory interface.

It even provides functions to permanently show the HP-Bars of all Units as well as the function to disable the windows key

But the best thing comes now:

You can add your battle.net friends there to check if they are online or not AND you can check your own ping/latency to all blizzard wc3 servers.
